A group of believers met for Bible study and prayer in the local fire hall in 1964. They began to hold regular services in the old Red Rock elementary in 1965, moving to their own building in 1969. Through a changing membership and several pastors, First Baptist Church strives to provide a witness for Christ in Royal City, a place for fellowship, and edification.
God desires that we work together and encourage one another through fellowship, words of encouragement, help, care, prayer, and the teaching of God’s Word.
Church is not about what you want or what I want. Church is about what God wants for us. We try to pursue God’s desire for us.
Though the first churches were often one per city, in our modern era we often find in communities more than one church that holds to a common faith in Christ Jesus. We desire to share fellowship and work with believers wherever we meet them.
